Well another week with no pictures of Madisynn! I guess thats what happens when they get older! I am sure when this next one comes, it will be back to picture overload!! Last week we ended up taking Madisynn to the doc as her fever did not subside, but the doctor checked her out to just having a cold. It did get worse before it got better, and she had a nasty cough and runny nose. She still has a runny nose, and a little congestion, but seems fine other than that! My massage on Friday was wonderful, and Mothers day was great, it of course rained, so we stayed inside all day. We have had 10inches of rain in May already, and it had rained that whole last week in April as well! Our yard is soaked!! Actually our driveway is even soaked and muddy, and Madisynn and I took a pretty good fall yesterday. Derek was even holding my hand, as he had Madisynn's 4wheeler, so I was carrying her, and of course I slipped and went down, and she bumped her head. I landed on my knees, so the baby was just fine. Madisynn was more traumatized by having mud all over her!! Then tonight a friend came over to babysit, and she slipped going up it as well!! STUPID ARKANSAS!! Yes, we had a babysitter tonight! For a whole hour and a half :) Derek and I had our first dinner out in 2 years, and it was great! Madisynn was good, and it was good for us as well. Too bad it will probably be another 2 years before we get out again :)
We are 36 weeks today and feeling ok. Some contractions still, back pains, sciatic pains, frequent bathroom stops, rib pains! All the fun stuff has definatly sunk in, but its very exciting as well. I finished up his room today, did all of his laundry and packed our bags. We are all set! Yes, I have been nesting, as I am cleaning other things as well! We will find out on Tuesday if I am making any progress, or if he is going to be as stubborn as Madisynn was :)
The countdown continues… and in fetal developments: most of the bones (soft skull aside) in their little body are now completely hardened, providing a solid structure from which they can now make their grand debut into the world. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, we are structurally ready for a secure launch. In physical fitness news: their muscle tone has also improved over these past few weeks, and you’ll definitely be impressed by their steel-like Ulnar grasp (a newborn reflex that occurs if you lay your finger in their palm). And in genital development: if you’re having a girl, her labia are now fully developed. Finally, in the fluids/excretion department: the amniotic fluid-to-baby ratio has fallen over these past weeks, although they’re still swallowing fluid (building up even more meconium for that historic first poop), and some vernix caseosa. They will be more than ready to swallow and digest milk after birth. Just in case you didn’t get it quite yet: you’ve got yourself an adorable and hungry 6.5 lbs 20 inch baby—are you ready?
This was me tonight at 36 weeks, I think the shirt makes me look smaller than I am :)

Me with Madisynn at 36 weeks. I dont look as swollen now, and I am about 10lbs lighter then I was with Madisynn at this point!!
