So it seems like forever ago that Derek and I went on vacation! It flew by, but it was such an amazing time! Highley recommend going to Amelia Island if you have never been! The resort we stayed at was a gated 1500 acre resort! If there is something you want to do, it probably has it there! Shops, biking, hiking, spa, fitness center, pools, restuarants, bars, etc! Just a great, great place!! We were able to get an amazinly cheap miltary rate, so it was even better! We got there early, but couldnt get our room, so they let us walk around the beach and go lay by the pool. That night, we just ate dinner by the pool and then went to the bar lounge for a couple of drinks. The next day we got breakfast in bed, then headed to the pool and beach ALL DAY! It was quite the change of pace! The next day was pretty rainy, which was ok, since we were both sun burnt, we went to downtown Amelia Island and found a nice little restuarant to eat at and did some shopping, then headed home. It was a quick trip, but very worth it!! Cant wait to go back next year ;) This was when we first got there

I saw a big lump on our walk at night, couldnt see much, so Derek had the idea of using the camera's flash to see what it was, come to find out it was a cannon ball jellyfish. It was pretty big!!

Came home and took my mom to a restuarant on the beach! Its like we were still on vacation!
