We are getting the after math of Gustav here in Arkansas. In 48 hours we got 10 inches of rain. The rain gadge below was over filling and it holds 9inches so we dumped some out so we could see the line of water, then dumped it out and this morning we had another inch. The backyard was flooding, and all the stones around our trees had been knocked over. I kept saying the Garske Levee has been compromised. There was a ton of water on the side of the house, where you couldn't even tell there was grass there and then just a river down our driveway. There were lots of wind and the power was out for a couple hours yesterday. I thought there was no way I was going to sit at home so I thought I would go to Walmart. Yeah, not smart. EVERYTHING was out of power! On the way to work today Derek said he couldn't even go on the highway the water was so high. The rain is finally slowing down today and should be done by tomorrow! Very crazy stuff, glad nothing bad happened here at our house, but there are still thousands with out power and a ton of trees that have fallen over and caused a lot of damage!!
Last night Derek took Madisynn outside to play in the rain. Her hair gets so curly now!
Madisynn HATES when we go in a room and shut the door. Derek will not go to the bathroom with the door open, where I have no choice. She comes with me EVERYTIME. She laid down on the floor calling for him till he came out! It was too cute!

WE finally took the 4wheeler outside. I did not want to get it dirty :) She loved it though.
This poor cat is so cooperative. She likes to play doctor with Zoey. Earlier I found a necklace hanging from the cats neck! :)

Always stressful with the 1st flight with the baby by yourself! Be sure to bring enough things to keep her busy...books, DVD player is a gem! I have to load up Sofie's carry on bag when we fly because we are flying between 8-12 hours...ugh. I am weak and drug her everytime we fly (I know I'm bad) it does get better as they get older, I promise. You will get through it and I am sure she will be an angel!! I am jealous! Take me with you to CO. Take lots of pictures of the fam for me...I cant wait to see you guys fgor real!
